R
Star's Foundation Bitch Willow
With our
1st litter coming from CH Jabulani Willow of R Star ("Willow"),
she is called our "Foundation Bitch." Bob and I
got her from Kate Borst of Jabulani Rhodesian Ridgebacks in
Lindstrom, MN. Willow stole our hearts at the young age of
only 4 wks. We brought her home at 8 wks. We raised, trained,
loved, socialized, and bred her. Our thoughts on breeding
these terrific dogs is that you must have a solid dog of great
breeding to start a kennel. Kate Borst deserves the cheers
for the outstanding dogs she's bred, and we're fortunate to
have gotten dogs with exceptional pedigrees to build from.
Temperament is the most important to us. We start with breeding
a pair that meet our personal standards, but terrific RR's
aren't born that way...for the most part. It takes dedication,
determination, and consistant training to make a Ridgeback
you can be proud of, and your friends and family can admire.
Willow is a fabulous girl with everything we wanted....Super-sweet
temperament, impressive ridge, beautiful coat, smooth gait
w/balance, and conformation worthy of her Champion title.
Willow was shown in the conformation show ring solely by me,
a novice handler. She was a joy to take into the ring, and
always made me proud of her and her performance.
Willow was bred 3 times, producing 18 pups...of which, to
date, there are 3 conformation Champions: CH R Star Baye Bomani,
CH R Star's Stock, and CH R Star's Kathmandu Onu of Jabulani
